“Olga Kobékina and Sergi Vicente, a brilliant and unusual combination !!!
Concert:
For 20 years they have formed this original duo, adding their individual experiences as performers to this chamber music project. The harpsichord and the guitar are plucked string instruments and they interpenetrate in timbre, forming a very interesting and unusual combination in the musical scene. They work in very diverse styles, from the baroque to the present day. Its program entitled “In the old style”, includes works by Soler, Bach, Vivaldi, Giuliani, Schnittke, Ponce, etc…
OLGA KOBÉKINA (key) https://www.olgakobekina.com She was born in Russia in a family of musicians. She graduated from the Mussorgsky Ural Conservatory in 1997. She teaches piano and repertoire and chamber music at the “Conservatori Superior del Liceu”. As Musical Director and pianist, she develops an active professional work throughout the national geography, in various productions of the “Petit Liceu”, pedagogical projects and also in operatic productions of the Peralada Festival and the Gran Teatro del Liceo. Her career as a performer includes concerts in Russia, Korea, Poland, Bulgaria, France, China, Cuba, Italy and numerous Spanish cities, as well as recordings for radio and television. She participates as a soloist in the cycle of concerts that the “Guitar Orchestra of Barcelona” performs at the “Palau de la Música Catalana” every season. This year she has completed a Master’s degree in interpretation with Professor Stanislav Pochekin and has presented her first CD as a soloist (“Revêrie”), dedicated entirely to the piano work of the composer C. Debussy.
SERGI VICENTE (guitar) https://www.sergivicente.com More than 30 years of professional experience guarantee her career as a performer in all areas of classical music. Her training has had prestigious teachers such as D. Russell, J. Tomàs, J. L. Rodrigo, L. Brouwer, A. Pierri, Pepe Romero, etc. She also deepens in directing and performance studies in different musical styles and specialties. Founder and Director of the Barcelona Guitar Orchestra, he develops extensive pedagogical work as a Professor at the Liceu Superior Conservatory of Music and regularly teaches courses and master classes. She develops an intense concert activity, in solo guitar recitals and as a soloist with an orchestra. In the field of chamber music, she has played with renowned performers and ensembles. Her discography includes six commercially successful CDs. She has made numerous concerts and recordings for radio and television throughout Spain and other countries in America, Asia and Europe; performing in prestigious cities such as: Moscow, Havana, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, Bombay, N. Delhi, Paris, S. Francisco, N. York, Caracas, Lisbon, Vienna, Rome, Sophia, Frankfurt, London, Beijing, Shanghai , etc… Recently, the Barcelona City Council has awarded him an “Honorable Mention” for his educational work and cultural dissemination of the city.
