One of the greatest virtues of guitarist Nora Buschmann is to immerse herself in the music of a country and interpret it with her great virtuosity and playful empathy. Dense and intense, elegant and cultivated, rich in nuances and impressive dynamics, with an incomparable sound pattern, the evening promises a fascinating journey through different cultures of the six strings of a guitar that came from Spain to South America and developed in a very idiosyncratic way.
The guitarist Nora Buschmann was born in Berlin and received her artistic and musical training from Prof. Monika and Jürgen Rost at the “Franz Liszt” Music Academy in Weimar. Funded by the Kulturfonds Foundation for Young Artists, she continued her studies in Hubert Käppel’s solo class at the Cologne Academy of Music. She has won prizes in national and international competitions and received a scholarship from the German Music Council.
In her programs she combines music from different traditions and regions and thus she becomes a musical cultural ambassador. Her guest performances have taken her to all major musical countries in Europe, Turkey and South America. She is a guest at numerous top-tier festivals, teaches her own master classes, and is a sought-after juror.
