The trio made up of Nuria Martín (violin), Patri García (voice) and Javier Moreno (guitar) offers a new flamenco show due to its format and inspiration.
One hundred years ago flamenco experienced a brief but intense period known as “Opera Flamenca”. Singers and cantaores such as Manolo Caracol, La Niña de los Peines or Pepe Marchena
They triumphed on stage wearing the flamenco copla, soleano, fandango, guajira and seguiriya and the artists mixed these styles following their creative instinct.
The Ópera Flamenca trio draws on that time to present an updated format, where the songs are linked to each other and peteneras, colombianas, copla and seguiriyas shake hands without one being more flamenco than the other. The result is an amalgamation in which each piece displays a varied emotional range, charged with nostalgia for old flamenco, while being revitalized by this unapologetic creative force from the Flamenco Opera era.
