Athrodeel is the duo formed by Ahmad Dyab and Aseel Massoud, a Syrian couple with a touching story.

Ahmad, a passionate flamenco guitarist, and Aseel, a singer and doctor, arrived in Barcelona a decade ago to escape the war. This duo, formed in 2007, seeks to transform the sound of war into music and promote cultural exchange.

Both with a solid training at the Conservatorio Superior de MMusician at the Liceu, Ahmad has specialized in flamenco guitar, while Aseel has focused his studies on singing.

Their concert is a musical journey that fuses the richness of Syrian culture and music with elements of the East and West. In their performance, they present an amalgam of classical Arabic music, Catalan popular music and Eastern flamenco, offering a unique experience that captures the passion for music and the extraordinary history of the festival.
