Rafael Aguirre is one of the most sought-after guitarists internationally, having received 13 First Prizes at the highest level, such as in the Tárrega Competition, the New York Pro Musicis. He was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London (ARAM), in recognition of his international career. He has performed in 44 countries, where his performances have been hailed as “a blessing” (Mainz Echo); “the future of the concert guitar” (Kultur Port); “one of the most acclaimed ambassadors of the Spanish guitar” (El País); in addition to highlighting his “maturity and intensity” (Ritmo).
