“Romaria” means pilgrimage or journey in Portuguese and represents above all the different styles and origins of the repertoire performed by the formation. From classical to bossa nova and other more experimental styles, its program includes music from Manuel de Falla, I. Albéniz, Joaquin Rodrigo, among others, to Brazilian music with classical and African influences composed by various composers such as H. Villa-Lobos or Marlos Nobre. Mariana Carrilho is a Mozambican mezzo-soprano and visual artist recognized for her vivacity on stage. This season, she is a guest soloist in the Coronation Mass of WA Mozart as part of the VII Festival of Mmusic from Masnou. She has also been one of the artists selected by Iberescena for the residency of African songs and experimental theatre organized by the Laboratory of Performative Arts of Lisbon. She has toured as a guest soloist of the Orquesta de Guitarras from Barcelona performing El Amor Brujo and the Spanish Popular Songs of Manuel de Falla at the Théâtre de Bastia and other venues in Corsica. Also notable are his recitals “El viento sopla del sur” at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona and “Fascinación” at the Monastery of Pedralbes. Roland Moles is a young Andorran guitarist based in Barcelona, he is part of the renowned Orquesta de Guitarras from Barcelona since 2021, with whom he performed at the Palau de la MCatalan music, at the “Rencontres Musicales de Mediterranée” festival and at various guitar festivals and stages in Catalonia, such as the Vallirana International Guitar Festival or the Teatre La Massa in Vilassar de Dalt. Of his chamber music career, his performances with the cellist Jordi Albelda and the Andorra National Chamber Youth Orchestra stand out.
