Rafael Aguirre He is one of the most sought-after guitarists internationally, having received 13 First Prizes at the highest level, such as at the Tárrega Competition and the New York Pro Musicis. He was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in London (ARAM), in recognition of his international career. He has performed in 44 countries, where his performances have been hailed as “a blessing” (Mainz Echo); “the future of the concert guitar” (Kultur Port); “one of the most acclaimed ambassadors of the Spanish guitar” (El País); as well as highlighting his “maturity and intensity” (Ritmo). Rafael performs regularly at prestigious venues including New York's Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and the Vebier Festival, Vienna's Konzerthaus, Moscow's Tchaikovsky Hall, Gasteig Philharmonie in Múnich, Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Palau de la Mmusic in Barcelona, King's Place in London, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, National Theatre of Cuba, Hyogo Performing Arts Center (Japan) and the Seoul Arts Center (South Korea).
